Welcome to Better Way of Thinking.

Better Way of Thinking is much more than a blog,
it’s a place to motivate people to put the time into taking better care of themselves and making their mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health a priority. A place to vent, cry, laugh, love, learn and inspire a better you. Sometimes it can be simply letting out your feelings and not bottling them up inside to using the word NO when necessary. So why a lotus flower as our symbol?

The lotus flower symbolizes rising from a dark place into beauty and rebirth. Lotus flowers grow directly out of muddy and murky waters and produce gorgeous blossoms. Despite the challenges and rough conditions, the lotus flower maintains strength and perseverance as it overcomes obstacles to rise and grow.  The reason for the color green is because a green lotus is a beautiful gift for anyone trying to improve their life and start good habits and we feel that by sharing and opening up ourselves to others we are giving  and receiving this gift.

More Lotus Color Meanings

Red, blue, and purple lotus flowers have a spiritual meaning of rebirth, ascension and enlightenment. The white and pink louts flowers are seen as meaning purity and devotion.

Lotus Flower Symbolism

The Lotus flower’s meaning and representation can differ from person to person depending on how you connect with it and where you are in your journey. It can be a reminder to stay humble and focus on developing your inner peace. The flower can represent patience, balance, self-awareness, rising out of suffering, love, compassion and more.

Self-Awareness is the conscious knowledge of one’s own character, feelings, motives and desires.  Deciding to be more self-aware is the step in the right direction to experience self-love. Working on yourself is not selfish. The process starts with how we communicate with ourselves and how much time we take to practice self-love. The happiness of life depends on the quality of our thoughts and it starts with what’s going on in our own head! The process can be painful but it leads to greater self-awareness.

Here at a Better Way of Thinking we are on a journey of self-love and self-care and in the process hope others will learn a tip or two on how to put yourself first. All it takes is a moment each day to refill your own cup because you can not pour from an empty cup. Become a priority in your life, it is essential.
